Patch 1.3, during download, stops at 9.9MB with a super long message that stars with:
"Exception during UpdaterModule.Update Traceback (most recent call last):"
Can't update. Everytime I try to run the launcher to update, it will start the download, but it will stop at 9.9MB downloaded and give me this error. |

How do I verify? |

Try to verify your shared cache files How do I verify? There is an option in the settings of your game launcher to do that (in the new as well as in the old one). Look for "Shared Cache" there and hit the "verify" button
In the launcher itself, in the advanced menu I have no verify option, only option I have is for clear cache but still theres no mention for the shared area, nor theres a button that says verify. Theres the EVE repair tool, which I assume its going to download data and as always CCP never says how much will be... Im on data plan :(

Quote:Oh yes, sorry my bad. In the old launcher it is the "Repair" button in the advanced options like you said. It should work the same way like the new verification. It will calculate and compare the hash sums of all important data and redownload the damaged/missing ones if any. Since you need those files anyway, you will need to download them the one way or another to play. If you do clear your cache, then all files will be redownloaded, wich would be contra productive for your case, so just try the repair option
Ended up doing a 'chkdsk /r' on my game drive, and after that a defrag. I had made a copy of the game folder a few weeks ago and decided to copy it over it. Then, after defrag was done, decided to give the launcher one more try. It updated the launcher, downloaded the patch and this time it did it, its working good again. |
